Hello Semwai,

As Mauro said, I have to add this;

Please check note 1358871 (no need to implement) as it provides information regarding IE8, it mentions that IE8 should work in compatibility mode.

Please check the following browser settings to be done on the browser as per note 1358871.

"Running IE8 in standard mode is not supported in releases prior to WEBCUIF 7.0 EhP1. To enable the Compatibility View setting, select
"Tools: Compatibility View Settings" from IE8's menu bar and add the CRM server(s) to the list."

Please implement the changes and retest the issue.

thanks

Hello Semwal,

Please review note 19466, remember that to update your kernel completely, you have to download

patches from both directories. I would recommend upgrading to the latest ITS 720 Kernel

Disp+Work Patchlevel 122  available from the SAP Service Marketplace. Check also note  1611466.

thanks

Hello Somath,

Please try this in your internet settings;

1.Open Internet Explorer  >Tools  >Internet Options  >Advanced tab
2.Under Browsing click to select the Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) check boxes, and then click to clear the Display a notification about every script
error check box. Save the settings and restart IE and test the issue.

If the above does not help please try the following

-Stop if any Antivirus software is running and test the issue
-Set your Internet Explorer Security settings to Default. You do this again in the Internet Explorer Tools menu, Internet Options, Security tab, and click Default Level.
-Delete your Internet Explorer temporary files and cookies and history. Internet Options, General tab.

Please check also  Microsoft KB article for the mentioned behaviour (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308260).

thanks

Hi Somnath,

We have recently upgraded our CRM system from .0 to 7.0. I am currently facing an issue with CRM 7.0 WebUI where I am trying to click on the URL link attached to the activity.When I Click on any URL to open. The link does not open and we get a javascript:void(0) error on the screen.  This error is similar to what you attached.

This issue happens when I access WebUI from client network as well as outside network. Look at the table below with browser descriptions.

Hi Chetan,

Use the Trace to find out the exact service and activate that service this will resolve your issue and you will be able to run your UI in any version of IE.
