Advice required

Hello one and all, I am a new member of SCN (SAP Community Network) family. I am interested in SAP BI but I do not have work experience. I have done SAP BI course but left with questions ...... 'do I need to work primarily on DBA (Database Administration) platform to enter in to SAP BI?' or 'Can I directly enter in to SAP BI field? if yes how it can be possible?. Please suggest me on this query. Thanks

This area is for BusinessObjects products, also known as Business Intelligence or Business Analytics.

our product verticals are broadly a) EIM (information management) b) EPM (performance mgt) c) BI Business Intelligence

a) can be understood as Data Services for ETL, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Event Insight etc

b) can be understood as 'extend of ERP" , arranged by Line of Business / Market segment, with products such as Financial integration mgt, Business Planning consolidation, Financial consolidation etc etc

c) BusinessIntelligence is the over-arching platform which acts as a central repository for users, content, and applications, whereby analysis can create, self-serve and broadcast report etc to a wider audience.

the topics you mention are sound.

However, the market is also diverging into Cloud, Mobility, and in-Memory application
