Advice required

Hello one and all, I am a new member of SCN (SAP Community Network) family. I am interested in SAP BI but I do not have work experience. I have done SAP BI course but left with questions 😔...... 'do I need to work primarily on DBA (Database Administration) platform to enter in to SAP BI?' or 'Can I directly enter in to SAP BI field? if yes how it can be possible?. Please suggest me on this query. Thanks
