Result recording :

The required acceptance value is zero , more than less zero is not acceptable

I have created the MIC with the target value is 0 and upper and lower limit also 0.  when the results are entered in aginst the inspection point for 5 different characteristics if the value is zero then pass ( green tick is appearing ) and less than or more than zero ( X red cross symbol is appearing in the screen ) , but after selecting all the characteristics and valuate the results all the characteristics are turns are green

How to control this, if the value is more than or less than zero then QN to triggered instead of accepting the values

Pls suggest some options

I'm not sure how you are valuating your characteristics.

What sampling procedure are you using for each of these characteristics and what is the valuation mode used in the sampling procedure.  Also, what is the scope set at for the characteristics.

It sounds like you might be doing valuation based on number of defects not the specification.  Since you don't record any defects, the characteristic is passed when valuated.  I think you need ot valuate based on spec.  You would then set up automatic defect recording as Martin suggest to create a notification each time a result is out of spec.

Valuating a char is certainly depends upon the valuation type in the sampling procedure. If no sampling procedure used ( even @ plant level) system will prompt you for manual valuation. Now suppose you have 5 MIC's &  you select one by one for valuation ,system do individual valuation but if you select all & valuate say first char ,then system behaves as you said.

So You should valuate one -by -one.

Secondly Creation /trigger of notification depends upon the Defect you record & not result you record.

So Record the defect for rejected MIC & notification will trigger depending upon the customization that you have done in QCC3-->inspection lot creation-->define inspection type-->default notification.

Ticking the "automatic defect recording" check box in the MIC will also speed up the process a bit.
