Characteristics combination for item JuAshtzsEpNx00002 was not found.

Hello,

While creating a sales order for a product, user is getting an error, mentioned in subject line.

CVCs  are correctly created as well as they are active in the directory. Secondly I checked /SAPAPO/ATPQ_CHKCUST, where the product was used to create the sales order till 26.03.2012. Please help, how to fix this ?

Hi Rahul,

I understand that you are using Product Allocations, though you didn't mention that specificly.

1) Did you already check that product allocations exist (/SAPAPO/AC42 - Product Allocations)

2) Did you already run the report /sapapo/sdrqcr21 for the location product with the check for product allocations ticked as well?

Thank you very much for writing back. Yes, We do use the Product Allocations.

1. I do see the below allocation still week 13.2012 in AC42.

2. I ran the above /sapapo/sdrqcr21, but no luck.

From the error here is the issue description: -

Characteristics combination for item JuHzFGKl0kdX00002lNa2m/ was not found

Message no. /SAPAPO/ATP201

Diagnosis

The system could not determine the following data:

    o   The characteristics combination for the item

JuHzFGKl0kdX00002lNa2m// that is used to choose product allocation

        quantities in the characteristics combinations directory of product

        allocation group ZPA01

    o   Suitable entries for collective product allocations of the

        characteristics combination from the sales order

System Response

The system does not execute the check against product allocations.

Procedure

Expand the characteristics combinations directory (for example, using

     the planning hierarchy) to include the missing characteristics

     combination or the collective product allocations that correspond to the

     characteristics combination from the sales order.

Hi Rahul,

I couldn't help noticing that the item in your Sales Order shows as 10008780-....,  but you shared the screenshot for the product allocations for 10008780. What is the exact material used in the Sales Order item, and how would it be linked to 10008780?

If you have a material in Sales Order item which is not 10008780, then you should check if any "collective product allocation" is maintained or not.

In your screenshot above, click on "collective product allocation" and this would tell you if the collective allocation is maintained or not. If it's not maintained, then you could maintain it using

"/SAPAPO/ATPQ_COLLECT - Characteristics of Collective Product Allocations".

Hello Pawan,

Yes, the product has a variant #( xxxxxxxx-01), but we do not create the CVCs with a product + variant. The CVCs only consists of product that you see the difference.

Secondly, we do not use collective product allocation.

Hi Rahul,

I am not sure how the product would get derived from the product variant (I understand that a GATP enhancement would be needed for this). This missing characteristic is exactly what the system seems to be telling.

Do you have any other case where you use a product variant in the Sales Order item, and have maintained the allocations only for the product, and it's working?

Yes, it works in same pattern for all other CVCs but not for this product.

Hi Rahul

Could you please check the following:

1) Go to /n/SAPAPO/ATPQ_CHKCHAR, enter the Product Allocation Group and execute. Please share the details of the CVC (status etc) for this product. The status should be active and material pattern should be same. I am assuming same variant patter is working for other materials.

2) Please also check details of CVC in corresponding MPOS by TC /SAPAPO/MC62.

Here we go, CVCs are active in below screenshot & they are available in MC62 as well.

Any other hint ?

Rahul,

You haven't stated what information the sales order is passing to allocation.  Perform ATP in ECC, and on the APO delivery proposal screen, select Product allocations > Characteristics.  There will be the list of characteristics that you are checking against. You must find an EXACT match to your allocation CVCs.

Hello DB49,

We are getting this error at very beginning, when we add this product in the sales order. After ignoring the error & while doing the availability check the same error pops up, with "0" quantities confirmed.

We also this info from error help :

Internal error: Item /000010(0001)

    Message no. /SAPAPO/ATP467

Diagnosis

    Internal error: The confirmation of item /000010(0001) for product
    10008780-01 in location SEMA has been cancelled.
