Hi,

Try following steps.

  1. Log into Business View Manager as Administrator
  2. Right click on the Server name under Repository Explorer and click on Rights
  3. Set the following rights to a Particular User:
    View --> Granted
    Edit --> Granted
    Set Security --> Granted
  4. Login to the Repository in Crystal Reports using the user credentials
  5. Then try and save the report to the Repository

If the above also dint work, try to schedule the LOV by right clicking on the LOV-> click on schedule from the BVM.

Make sure that the status of schedule is success.

Thank you.

Hang on! Did you say you're using CR XI R2 and you're trying to save the report to BI 4.0?

Please install CR 2011 and then try to save. XI R2 is not compatible with BI 4.0.

Hi,

As you are using XIR2, you are unable to save it in the enterprise because they are not compatible.

Try to download CR 2011 from the following link, install it and then export the report.

Thank you.

Hello.

I am having a the same problem trying to publish a report created in CR 2011 to BI 4.0.

There may be an answer in an older thread for 3x, http://scn.sap.com/thread/1969664, which is very close to Saritha Rangu's post in this thread.  I am wondering if anybody can verify if this is the case.

I have some access to the CMC but not the server.

Thanks for any help!

Hello -

Our server administators changed BOE settings to allow me to edit dynamic cascading prompts.

After this I was able to publish reports using dynamic cascading parameters from Crystal Reports 2011 to BI 4.0 using the Report Upload Generator.  Three conditions were necessary:

1. Adequate permissions;

2. Reports Generated using CR 2011; and

3. Upload using the Report Upload Generator.

Seems a bit much, but it works.

Hoping this helps,

Greg

Hi Greg,

we have the same issue.

I created with Crysta Reports 2011 an report with cascading parameters.

If i try to save the report in the BO-Server i become follwoing error message:

........"Failed to read data from report"......."Reason: could not read parameter objects"......

Could you give us more detail information how this issue can be solved - what kind of changes make your administrator for BOE??

Thanks.

Hi Serdal,

I wish I could be more help but everything done to help me publish Crystal Reports 2011 to BO BI4 was done on the server, by server-side technicians.  As I recall, the most important permission granted (that I didn't already have) was to edit parameters.  I can't provide details regarding what the administrator did.  Sorry.

Do you mean you are not able to save the CR report back to BO Enterprise.  Can you also provide more details like when exactly you are getting this error to help you further.

I have done many steps.  given below are the steps taken to solve the problem.    I used publishing wizard to  publish the report. received problem when stored on server (CR Enterprise). I tried to promote jobs from server to server. through LCM, reports hadbeen deployed but it didnt show lov.
