Real time Email Alerts from SAP

Hi

Is it possible to send realtime alerts if a particular Z-Transaction is run.

We have Z-transaction where we maintain Customer status . Now my client want if the status is changed to block state , upon saving it a mail should get triggered to any given ID. Please note i want email alert for Zdevelopment not a standard development.
