Bex Variables not working in Crystal report

Former Member

Hi Friends,

I created a Bex Query and Created  Crystal Report on the Bex Query.

Unfortunately SAP MDX query is not working so i created a Crystal Report on SAP BW Query.

Problem is there are few variables in Bex Query and  when i try to select the values for the varaibles in Crystal Report its not showing me the values to select.I.e the list box to select the range values is not displayed in crystal report.

How can i get the List of values for the variables in Crystal Report.

Help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Sahasra

Hi All,

I have exactly the same issue. There is a replacement variable that is not loaded correctly in a Crystal Report no matter how I create the report.

I work with Crystal XI R2 and I am trying to convert an old report to the MDX connection.

The query is working with BW3.5 and the replacement variable is reading a date. There is no data displayed in the report for this field.

Nothing indicated by Kuldeep and Jothi works to solve this issue.

Any idea ?

Thanks.

Gaudier,

You are using older versions of BW and Crystal. This solution will not apply to your scenario.

Hi All,

just adding to the above point. If you are creating a new report on BW query my suggestion would be to use the SAP MDX Query connection or use the SAP toolbar to create a new report on your queries.

Thanks,

Kuldeep

Hi,

SAP BW Query is a legacy driver and will not give you the LOv's.

Go to SAP Menu , from Settings check " Use MDX Driver for Multiple structure".

Select the query from SAP MDX driver and you will be able to see  LOV's for each variable in Crystal reports.

Make sure your query is available in SAP BW MDX Query Driver and use "SAP" standard Menu than using a "File" Menu for creating a report..

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

Jothi
