SAP EarlyWatch Alert report missing

Hi Toby,

I installed the Remote Support Component on our test environment a little over a month ago.

I have yet to see any SAP EarlyWatch Alert reports in my Inbox on the website.

I'm guessing I don't have something installed correctly or maybe a port is being blocked.

I don't see any obvious error messages in the logs.

Is there a good place to start troubleshooting?

A particular log for instance?

Hi Brian,

Either the EWA didnt get uploaded successfully or it did upload and there is no contact defined for your system in our backend systems.

Can you check the following?

1)  Browse to: <install_drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<INSTANCEID>\SMDAgent\applications.config\*.rsc and check for lastTransmittedMessage.xml.  Do you see this file?

2)  On your managing agent, zip the logs from <install_drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<INSTANCEID>\SMDAgent\logs and attach them to this post or email them to me at toby.johnston @ sap.com

3)  What is your S-USER id, customer number, installation number, and system id  for the system you are monitoring? (the SID of the system on the service marketplace)   I will look up to see if a contact must be defined for your system.   You can email me direct with this information.

With these details I should be able to tell you why you haven't recieved a report and how to fix it.

Thanks

Toby,

I sent you a direct email with all the info and .XML and logs in a .zip.

Hopefully it comes thru.

Hi Brian,

I have discovered the following:

1)  The reports are uploading however the contact who is receiving them is James Maher.  Please contact the CIC and request that the technical contact for your account be changed to your S-USER.   To request this change create a message under component  XX-SER-SAPSMP-USR

2)  The report is incomplete.  Some investigation will need to be done by support to determine why the report is incomplete (it's likely there is an error with your configuration).  For this, please create a message under component BI-BIP-DEP and attach the information as outlined in kb article 1689704.  We will gladly help you to correct the problem.

If you have questions about this, please let me know.

Thanks
