Billing multiple Meter Reading Reasons on same day

Hello all,

I was attempting to bill an installation where there was a meter with 2 meter reading reasons on the same day.

01 - periodic meter reading

22- meter reading at billing rel. removal.

The 22 meter reading is at 23.59, the 01 reading at 13:02.

When I execute the billing: the billing doc that covers until the 01 reading does pick up the 01 read and bills accordingly.

The next period however does not opick up the 22 reading, and such a portion on the consumption for the day does not get billed.

Has any one experienced this?

I have seen SAP use multiple reading types ont he same day: 09 / 01 as an example.. or even 11/09, or 16/09.

Any suggestions as to a configuration item that needs to be changed or a process to be followed?

Many thanks.

BBY RMSK

Hi,

It depends upon what priority has been set in customisation for the MR reason.

If both the MR are required on same day, then logically you can go for 22 reason because it is of "Billing rel Removal". Check this once as how your Client expects it.

Please check the below node in SPRO settings, may be it wlll help you out or will give a way ahead.

"""Define Priority of Meter Reading Reasons for Meter Reading Interval Check"""

Path:- SAP Utilities-->Device Management-->Meter Reading-->Meter Reading Order-->Order Creation-->Define Priority of Meter Reading Reasons for Meter Reading Interval Check.

Sachin

Hi Sachin,

Hope you are doing well. There is some issue regarding priority set for MR reasons. Actually when I am trying to create new entry in Define Priority of Meter Reading Reasons for Meter Reading Interval Check node. I am not able to set the priority for the  meter reading reasons 11 and 16 and also some other reasons.

So could me tell how I can set the priority for the specified MR reasons. Do I need to activate some table or field to get the all MR reasons for set the priority.

thanks.

Hi Arun,

This should not happen, but can you please specify the error you are getting.

Hi ,

Actually there is no error message but once I am trying to set the Priority for MR R 16 or 11. I am not getting the reasons in F4 help for the MR reason field.

So how I can get the reasons in F4 help?

Thanks.

Hi Arun,

Do you want to have more MR reasons?

If yes, for that you can use transaction SM30 and maintain table TE609 to add a new  MR reason.

But before doing check if you are authorised/permitted to do so.

I don't see any IMG path there to add the MR reason.

Is that what you want.

Hi Arun,

What sachin said is correct but 11-Meter reading after program./adjustment,16-Meter reading before program./adjustment is a default MR reasons which will be used by system internally.

So I think we can not maintain priority for those MR reasons.

Hi RMSK,

Have you checked the MR reasons priority settings? in SPRO.

Chk- ""Define Priority of Meter Reading Reasons for Meter Reading Interval Check"" in the Meter Reading Order--> MR Order creation tab in spro..
