Hello,
I have ordered 10 qty to external vendor.(PR-PO-GR)
PR is created from Maintenance order.when i receive the material the consumption is posting directly to order.
Requirement:
I need to keep it in store stock and then i need to consume it to Maintenance order.
I am trying to do like project stock with maintenance order.
Regards,
SS
Hello SS,
You can return the materials to stock. You can use T code MB1A and specify the movement type as 262. With this your cost of the maintenance order will also be subtracted.

Hello,
SAP creates PR from work orders when Item Category is N (Non-stock Item). If the Item category is L (Stock Item), SAP creates reservation for the item. As answered above, such stock items can be procured into stock either manually or through MRP. On goods receipt, this will keep items in stock until it is issued against work order (with movement type 261).
Thanks,
Venu

One option would be to define the material as stock, enter it as a component with Item category L (Stock Item) in the Work Order and let the system create a material reservation.
Procure the material (independently from the work order); if you have MRP activated, it will create a PR for you. The key issue is that this PR/PO has no account assignment category.
Good Receipt will increase the Stock, and then when you issue it out with reference to the reservation, THEN the cost will be reflected in the work order, for the consumption as you specified.
Hope it helps.
