How to active Org unit field on IT0001

Dear all,

My problem is one Position assign for multi Organization Unit and when I input data on PA30 system allway default  the first organization unit on Org Unit field (OREGH) IT 0001.

I want to active Org Unit field (OREGH) IT 0001 to key in on this field by manually. I don't want to deactive OM-PA relationship because I want to get cost center automaticly.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Hi Huyen

From your question, it seems that you have one position 'belongs to' multiple org units. What types of position belong to multiple org units? Normally one position belongs to one org unit and someone might have changed the time constraint on that relationship. It would also have other impacts like if the employee enters a leave, which manager should the leave request go to as different org units could have different managers.

There is an option to assign the person directly to the org unit instead of position. You could explore that and see if the window allows you to pick position and org unit.

Hi Manish,

There is a concept called dotted line reporting in OM, it states one position can report multiple position in different org units, however there is only one straight line reporting and many dotted line reporting allowed.

So we can assign relationship for a position to multiple positions (Org units).

Hi Huyen Nguyen,

Picking the Org Unit number from OM to Infotype-0001 of an individual employee is SAP Standard behavior, it doesn't support your requirement as your case is multiple reporting in the OM.

Relationship:

Organizational Unit ->  Position -> Person (IT-0001)

So  As Mr. RaviKumar said check with your  ABAPer for enhancement, As per my knowledge in ABAP you can enter the direct value in the standard table (Database table) of Infotype-0001 which can be accessed only through an ABAPer,  but still you can't go to the standard table all the time when ever you want to enter the Org Unit number.

You can find the above explained @ T-code: "se11" ,

And  give the infotype name as "pa0001" against Database table,

Click on Display (because functional consultant can't change it, it needs access key which will be with ABAP consultant)

Click on Contents button (Ctrl + Shift + F10)

Now enter your Personnel no.

Click on Process

Now you can find the Infotype-0001 of that particular employee

Check for the Org Unit field

This is where you can modify the value. As mentioned this is a job of ABAPer, check with your ABAPer for the possibilities.

So I find no solution for your requirement.

you can go to table V_T588M , input your MP screen and check setting of P0001-ORGEH.

Hi,

The standard behavior doesn't allow Org unit edit when you a have activate PA-OM integration. Org unit becomes editable when you perform termination action (or any other action with withdrawn employment status). I would recommend implementing an enhancement spot for your scenario.
