web access of bobj explorer

hi experts,

I have several questions about explorer:

1. after I install explorer, I access it via http://192.168.1.123:8080/polestar/, how can I get it accessable outside LAN? like if I want to access it when I am on trip.

2.how can I access explorer using iphone? I already download SBO explorer app on my iphone, how to config it to access my BOE? The first thing is to install explorer on my BOE, correct?

From your IP address it seems that this is your home system.

1. In your router you will need to set up the Port Forwarding of 8080 to 8080 and IP address would be your BOE server.

Then go to  www.whatismyip.com to get your IP address and then you can access it externally, (yourIP:8080/polestar) but there are other potential security issues with this.

Your WAN ip may change. you can setup a host name at dyndns.com or no-ip.com free services which will be updated  auto for you.

2. On you iPhone, Explorer app just set your explorer server to same as final in Step 1.
