Search help enhancement for product category( same functionality as Unit of measure)

Hello,

We have a requirement to enhance the product category F4 help while creating the shopping cart.

The product category should have an option as "save to personalised list" ( Which is available for unit of measure) to add selected product categories to list and display only that list.

If user changes and adds some more to personal list, then the new list to be displayed. ( Exactly same behaviour of Unit of measure).

Please let me know the feasibility and some light to achieve.

Hello,

In standard it is not possible to have a personal value list for product category. There is a technical limitation.

Hi Sai,

This functionality should be available for Product category search as well. Check with your developer if the PERSONAL_SETTINGS_ALLOWED path is set to visible under the web dynpro component WDR_F4_ELEMENTARY, If not I think it can be achieved via an Enhancement spot. We have done some thing similar and it allows for personalization.

Hi Srinivas,

We actually have overridden the standard product category search help BBPH_PROD_CAT with our own custom search help and this is the reason we were able to incorporate the personal value list for product category. I guess SRM standard does not allow it as Ricardo mentioned earlier. We did as we needed additional fields in the search criteria.

Work with your developer to see if he can help you with building a custom search if required.
