email send to contact person of ship to party

Hi,

Can somebody tell me how to send an email confirmation in the form of a shipping notification from delivery document? I am looking for an standard solution of the requirement. I know how to send an email to ship to party but we need to send it to the contact person  so is there any std way of doing it?

Hi,

This is possible through a custom development.

I would suggest to configure the standard email output send by email I assume that you know this how to configure as you mentioned in the question. Now there is a print program for all kind of output types which trigger the output. Std program is RSNASTSO and form routine is SAPOFFICE_AUFRUF_VX. Ypou can ask your developer to write a logic that instead of taking email from SH system should take it from contact person. You can take the contact person from ship to party and if there are more contact person then the you can put a check on the attribute of contact person. Even if you do not assign the CP to ship to party thats also fine you can create it with VAP1 transaction by entering the number of SH in the screen.

Hi Sanjeev,

There are attributes available in the customizing or else if you open VAP1 screen there you have so many fields available to differentiate the two CP.

Hi,

A work-around: You could create a CMR for the contact person with a partner function of ZH.

(and then proceed with the process you already know.....

In the CMR you can give the email information. In the condition record you can give partner function ZH, transmission medium Email etc. And assign this output procedure to the delivery type.)

If you want to create a contact person with partner type AP, i think you would need some help from SAP HR mater data maintenance team in order to create the contact person in SAP. One doubt - would you be able to include contact person in your CMR? (i.e. Sales Area data > Partner Functions)

The process of output would remain the same i.e. In the condition record you can give partner function AP, transmission medium Email etc.
