CA ER Disability Tax

Hi All,

Does California have ER disability tax? I was unable to find the tax type 31 & 41 mapped to any tax combo for CA when i got the fresh system. I've added them in tax models & table T5UTI. Strange is RT wasn't generating /331 & /431 but generating /341 & /441. Am i missing something? I tried for different tax authority and working fine. Will BSI has any role this ?

Appreciate your replies.

Thanks

KMM

Hi Manjari

From the Califrnia state website

http://www.edd.ca.gov/payroll_taxes/State_Disability_Insurance_Tax.htm

Could it be the case that employees has already crossed the ceiling.Did you check the TCRT table.

Process PC00_m10_REC for wagetypes /731,/741,/431 and /441 for YTD to see if there was any deduction before?

Not sure on the SAP front how it generates wagetypes with mapping the tax types

Could you perhaps paste the BSI interface to have a look at what is beind sent to BSI

HI Ajay,

No, emloyee never crossed the limit, this is the first period and i'm in the stage of configuring & testing, so never really ran payroll. I went through the website before posting the question. Also, in BSI, i could see only 41 tax type visible for CA. If you have US system at your place you could try & please let me know how system behaves. Plz look below.

Thanks,

KMM

Hello,

Employer disability tax -> Tax type 31 is not applicable for CA which is the reason it is not coming. The applicable tax type will be existing in V_T5UTD, only these tax type will be applicable for the authority. If you want tax type to be deducted tax then it should exist in V_T5UTD and it should be configured in taxability model as I have mentioned in the following wiki link

https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPHCM/Taxability+Model

Hi,

That is what i was all wondering about. Thanks Karthik. I'll let the client know about this. And, if they want the 31, should i say BSI will not support that?

Hi,

If it is legal for the authority BSI would have delivered and SAP would have incorporated in the table by TUB application.
