EV analysis with wbs and activities

Hi Guru's,

I have created a project definition intially with WBS elements structure.

Then i have planned the cost against WBS elements using ECP.

Then i have maintained the POC measurement method as Cost Prop.

after that i have run CNE1 and i am able to get the BCWS values against each WBS elements in CNE5.

Now the schenario i am trying with activities.

i just created a network and activities with work and duration (Cost is not planned on activities and it is planned on WBS elements)

After that i maintaining the POC measurement methods as Cost Prop (planned) and Work (Actual) for activites and i have not maintained any POC measurement method for WBS elements.

After doing this i have run the CNE1 and CNE5 but i am not getting BCWS values against activities.

Please help me guru's on this.

Please tell me one thing, if i plan costs at wbs level and maintaining activities for scheduling purpose only. In that case can i get EVA at activity level?

Hi Bhadra,

              If you are not doing cost planning at activity level you won't get Earned Value at activity level.

EV =Base value(Cost or Budget)* POC

Base value will be zero if cost planning is not at activity level.

Hi,

   Configure Progress analysis properly.If you use Cost as your EV Basis you will get Earned Values at activitiy level having cost.

It is working fine for WBS element level, so i think there is no issue with configuration.

But i am not getting for activity.

I am maintaining Cost (annual) as EV basis and POC weight as Cost (annual).

Pls suggest me..
