Hi Thierry,

Could you clarify where you want to delete the repository from? I understand from your previous entry that there still is information somewhere, but if I understood correclty you already deleted it physically from your Database (what database? SQL Server, Sybase..?).

Where do you need to delete (the reference to it) from?

Hi Thierry,

Sorry, still not getting it. You have BODS 3.x. So you click on the Windows: Start, Programs,..Business Objects, Data Services..Repository Manager to call the repository management tool.
Now you put the repository connection parameters to connect to the database, but that doesn't work, because there is no repository any more and the Oracle tells you so.
What do you want to delete now? The Repository Manager is a tool to create and update repositories.
It does nothing else than execute sql scripts and internal DS jobs to create tables in that database you give it the connection data for. It does not have the "knowledge" of a repository before you create the database and tell the program where to connect. It then checks what tables are there, version etc., but only after it is connected..

Hi Thierry,

I'm not sure there is an official answer to this (solution).
If this is a TEST system you can try the following:

The information you are seeing is from <LINK_DIR>\bin directory, the file DSConfig.txt

If you search for the job server name you gave (say ThierryJobServer) you should see it twice:

[AL_JobServer]
...
AL_JobServerName1=<your JobServer name>
other values with a .1
like AL_JobServerPort1=

and a second section (stanza) with

[AL_JS_<your jobserver name>]
some values here

Comment out all those values with #  and you won't see the job server in the Server Manager any more. You can add a new JobServer and see what new values are in that file.
You can play around with it, but notice that if you have multiple job server already it will not be enough to comment out the first one. You will see none of your other job servers when you start the manager.
You will have to rename the second one that has the parameter value AL_JobServerName2 = to the parameter value AL_JobServerName1 = .

Hi,

If you find the repository information in Job Server Manager, can you try this?

In Job Server Manager, go to Edit Job Server configurations, click on the required Job Server, go to Edit. You can see the repositories associated to the Job Server in the 'Associated Repositories'section. You can select the one you do not want and Delete (below).

Hi Suneer,

I can't do that because the oracle schema is already dropped ...

Thanks
