Hi,
We encountered an error message 2032 when creating multiple netweaver BW connections in Dashboards. Has anyone faced similar issues? I think this has something to do with 4.0 version itself.
Version: BO 4.0

Hi Henry,
Tried to install patch and encountered error as - "Cannot connect to CMC, please regenerate logon tickect for the user."
Administrator user id was used for the patch upgrade. Seems like BO is not able to use the credentials for patch upgrade, however, the same I am able to login to CMC using the credentails for user id Administrator.
I tried re-doing after changing password for administrator user but same result. Any insight will be really helpful.
Regards,
Dhanesh
Note: Not sure if this forum is in correct place as its now an upgrade time issue.

Hi,
Which Patch threw the 'cannot connect CMC error'? the BIPlatform server patch or Xcelsius client patch? (I wouldn't expect this for the latter)
Or do you you mean you get this error post-upgrade? Is your CMS actually running under the SIA ?
Yes, Windows Admin is required to install the patch .msi
You use BO Admin as a login for the client tool (Enterprise Authentication)
.. it's not clear which you mean...

H
Hi,
The BI Platform server patch threw the error. I encountered this error before the patch could even start installation.
Yes, the CMS is running under the SIA and we tested BO 4.0 before trying to do patch upgrade.
We are having unix so windows admin is not necessary. Yes, we are trying to install the patch from a unix super user id.

Dhanesh
I successfully upgraded the dashboard designer to the Build number 14.0.2.641. Created a sample dashboard with 2 BICS connections and published it. On first launch, there was No Error at all and it worked as expected. BUT, on 2nd launch/refresh, again received the same error and just one of the BICS query gave output.

Hi,
It sounds like you are narrowing down the problem. Just focus on that single query and start logging/tracing to try determine where its breakpoint it and why.
This error is totally generic, and could be related to so many things, from flash not loading, to the cross-domain issue.
You might want to contact support to help you investigate.

H
Yes Henry, I am trying to narrow down into the issue. I tried using connection refresh button too. Even there, one connection active was working fine but as soon as I use two connections, I get the error.
Probably flash is not the reason. Just as info, do you have knowledge anyone working on Dashboards 4.0 and has created a dashboard with multiple BICS connection.
Regards,
Dhanesh
Business need overrides good pratice, isnt it. What you see are BICS dashboards using Dashboard Designer 4.0; I suppose. Never faced this issue in Xcelsius 2008 but facing now in 4.0.
I will dig more into this issue for any probable reason.
Thanks for now Henry. Will update on this when there is any more info.

Dhanesh
Hi,
You can supress that message if it happens during viewing
. See note 1423819 - Disable the #2032 Error Message during SWF Runtime

Here are the details:
Server AIX - Unix
BO - 4.0 SP2
Dashboard design 4.0
Error occurs for any published dashboard which uses 2 or more BICS connections. There is no error while creating dashboard. Error pops up when executing (launching) of published dashboard.
Applying patch is an option but will it solve the issue. Is this a known issue?

Dhanesh
Hi,
If you are using No Patch on SP02, you are currently unsupported.
This product went 'general availability' on Patch2.5, and we are now at Patch2.14 - so you have approx. 7 months of bug fix releases that are missing from your system...
I would recommend that you check out the release notes / fixed issues list, and make your own assesment.
Regards,
H
