Calculation of Delivery date by excluding Non working days and Sunday

Dear All,

I have a requirement, where by

When Materials are planned by MRP, system should calculate the delivery time by excluding Non working days and Sundays.

My finding is that we can achieve this my creating a planning calendar and assigning this to Material Master. Not sure whether this is fully correct.  or can we do anything through factory calendar?

Please let me know what are the options to acheive this requirement

you can do this thru factory calander. if the delivery date happens on a holiday as per calculation, it will be postponed to the next working day but the intervening holiday in delivery period is ignored.

for e.g your delivery period is 6 days, your factory holidays are sat and sunday, 6 days from monday will result in next monday, 6 days from tuesday also result in next monday and from thursday to wednesday

If we do it at factory calendar, then it will be applicable to all Purchase Requsitons,which are not created through MRP aslo. How we can get this done for Purchase Requsitions created from MRP.
