Hi All,
While running a settlement(CJ88) i am getting below error;
Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 005 not filled.
I have assigned an invesment profile to my project to create an automatic AUC. I am getting this error when i am doing the settlement to AUC.
expecting early response
Thanks.
Hello Akhil,
The cause of the problem is that the settlement includes down payments. The downpayments are not allowed to use the WBS again as accounting object to prevent doubled values in CO. You may read SAP note 178874 which explains this. So, the WBS will be deleted out of the document and therefore the profitcenter cannot be derived. With the correct settings as per note 996852, the profit center will then derived from the cost center.

Thanks Gordon for your reply.
But i would like to say that there is no down payment happen in the project.
I have tested by bringing cost in the project with different txns and settling it , i am explaning it below:
1. I am creating a project with WBSEs and activities. Assigning investment profile to WBSEs, now i am bring actual cost in the project by confirming internal activity and then running settlement CJ88 , cost is pefectly getting transfered to AUC without any error.
2.After this i am adding few materials to the project , building up project stock and doing CNS0 and PGI(VL02N). By doing this again some actual cost is getting booked in the project , now here when i am running settlement , system throws an error "Balancing field Profit Center in line item not filled"
I hope i have cleared you the scenario, now please suggest me what to do .
Thanks
