How should I use the DateNavigatorLegend and the DateNavigatorMarking?

I have been trying to work with the DateNavigatorLegend and Marking APIs, but I didn't go too far. I need to highlight some specific dates on the DateNavigator control (I use WebDynpro), so I read those APIs should be use...

... could anybody show me an example about how to use them? The information I found in help.sap.com didn't showed me the way

I'm trying to highlight the public holidays in the working time calendar. Have you found a way to do that. I was hoping it was in a BAPI . We are upgrading from 4.6c to ecc 6.0 and we are implementing the new ESS with portal and web dynpro.
