No email sent for travel request approval

Hello,

I have an issue regarding Travel request/expense approval, the user is not getting any e-mail as an approval notification.

When checking the workflows linked to all her trips in PR05, all the tasks related to the approval sent to the user were finished with an error:

-Task: Mail: Trip has been settled ---> Status: Error

-Task: Mail: Trip has been transferred to FI ---> Status: Error

How to fix this problem?

    Hi,

    Please let us know the exact error message (with number). Also please check for validations in below mentioned points:

    1) Go to transaction PRMS, check whether the afected user is having a current & valid communication info type 0105 (sub info type 0001 - system user name) and check whether the e-mail ID of the user is saved.

    2) Go to transaction SU01 (if you don't have access ask basis team) and check under address tab, whether e-mail ID and comm. Meth (communication method) is saved or not.

    Hi,

    I checked transaction SU01 and e-mail address do exists.

    But, in transaction PRMS, there is no data under communication (info type 0105).

    In fact, I don't have any error message number.

    The problem is that when I check the workflow overview of any trip for that personnel number, the status for the e-mail notification to the user is error.

    Any idea how to solve this issue?

    • Methinks you just solved this yourself but don't realize yet 😉... Infotype 0105 is not just some mapping to the User ID; its Subtype 0010 is an entry for the email address independant from the entry of the email address in the user masterdata. Maintain Infotype 0105 Subtype 0010 for the respective Pernr.

    But what is the exact error message? Is ist only by one user? Maybe master data missing?
