ABAP Dataflow error: mara_dim.txt file cannot be opened, Job Cancelled after system exception ERROR MESSAGE

Hi all, I have designed a ABAP DATAFLOW within a Dataflow, the ABAP DATAFLOW has MARA table as Source and Data Transport object as Target, i just mapped some fields in Query. Then, i opened Data Transport and gave filename as "mara_dim.txt" with Replace file radiobutton selected.

then, i connect ABAP DATAFLOW to Template Table without query under DATAFLOW. Now, i saved all pages. and Clicked on "Validation>Generate ABAP code" option inside ABAP DATAFLOW. now, i tried to execute the job. but its not successful, i got above error. Please help me.

Hi Ganesh,

Generally the ABAP Data Flow will create a DAT file with the name you maintained in Data Transport object inside the ABAP Data Flow during run time. According to your error message, it seems that the user name which you used in SAP Data Store is not having rights to create the file in SAP Work Directory. You contact the BASIS team and check whether the user is having file creation rights or not. Once this is resolved, automatically the user will create a file, respective Data Transfer method moves the file to job server location then data will be loaded into to template table.

As of know in a DF we con't use ABAP DF. will use only in ABAP DF will use DF.

if any suggestion please tell me.
