1) First, you must decide whether you want the system to execute a component availability check. In PP, you can switch ATP on of off in transaction OPJK, or you can assign checking group KP to the material master.

2) If you do execute an ATP check, then the possibility will always exist that you may get status MSPT (Missing Parts). There are three key statuses related to the availability check in PP:

MANC: Material Availability Check Not Current

MACM: Material Availability Committed

MSPT: MIssing Parts

If an availability check is executed and finds a material shortage, MSPT is set in the header.

If no shortage is foud and a committed quantity is updated for the component, status MACM is set.

MANC is set in the case no ATP check was executed (For example if switched off in OPJK) OR if an ATP was executed but the order was subsequently rescheduled. In the latter case, the rescheduling means that the ATP check results may no longer be valid.

3) I cannot imagine that MSPT would prevent goods movements in a confirmation. An availability check is not executed at confirmation. If you manually execute an ATP check at this time (in CO02 for example), does the status update to CO02?

4) MSPT will certainly not have an influence on tecoing the order. Why would you want this to be the case? It could be possible to forbid business transaction BTAB (TECO) when MSPT is active via transaction BS22. This would be considered a modification of the standard system though.

Dear Dheeraj,

MSPT Material shortage is set during order creation if there is any material missing parts for that particular

order. This material availability check is controlled using the config performed in OPJK. for business

function 1 and 2 for the order type and plant combination.

If you do not want this activity then include the check box for no check under material availability for the

order type and plant combination and so this status MSPT does not gets set.

Check and revert back.

Dear,

genrally based on setting OPJK and scope of check system is doing availabilty check, if missing part is there system will set the status as MSPT.

Once the material recived we need to do availabity check again to the prooduction order, then the status MSPT will remove

or at the time of final confimation, click the clear reservation, this will change the status MSPT. for future order  or if the component is completed Issued( GI), then status MSPT will be removed from order

for old order, go the production order  click  material set the final indicator tick this will remove the status MSPT
