Prioritization of customer demand in SNP


We have a requirement that we want the optimizer to give results which prioritize specific customer demand.

Please suggest the steps to do so.

    Hi Mohit,

    Optimizer is not meant for prioritizing specific customer demands. In standard SAP, we cannot make the optimizer doing this. CTM can do the priority based planning.

    But if really want to do this in SNP optimizer, then we can control the prioritization of the customers through penalty costs. You can set penalty cost group for the individual customers and set higher penalty cost for the high priority customer.

    This needs lot of customizing setup,

    1. you have to maintain the penalty cost group as one of the descriptive characteristics

    2. You have to link the Penalty cost group with the customers

    3. You have to create consumption group with penalty cost group char.

    and so on...

    I don't think there is an easy standard way for this.
