QM Cost

Dear experts,

Could anyone can guide me how to use the QM cost feature? steps by steps.

I have tried to create parameters by t-code op7b, op19, op21, assign QM order to material with t-code QK01, create work center with CRQ1, and assign the work center to related inspection plan. However, I can't calculate the QM cost after inspection.

I highly appreciate if someone can help me.

Hi

two type of cost can be captured by using QM

1.Appraisal cost

It is inpection time cost for example here you need to creat special activity for Quality department and assign in you qiality workcenter

you need to put corret control key(QM04) in you inspection plan...

so after make RR system will bring one pop to capture inpection time

Non confirmance cost

this cost you can capture for the quality notification

To carry out the activity, choose one of the following navigation options:

IMG Menu

  1. Quality Management à Quality notification à Notification processingà  Define costing parameteràAccount assignment of QM order

Select the notification type and click details(Q2,F2,Q3,F3,Q4)

Order type

QN01

Business Area

0001

Cost Center

give you csot center

CO Area

give your control area

Save the entries

For all the notification type need to do the same setting

after that when making notification click order tab

Thank you very much, I can calculate the cost with QM04 now, since I use the wrong control key QM01.

I have a concert about the material which use for inspection, how do we record these material cost, if QM order support material cost recording?

Hi

better need to check with any FICO consultant on the impact of captring quality related cost to the material cost

as per my understanding it depend on the finance department wether it need for an information purpose or how they settle the QM orders

Hi you need to create the QM order in QK04

Assign the QM order in the material master inspection set up.

In quality plan operation header enter the  workcenter and the activity type as well as  standrard value.

Do the cost settlement using tcode KO88

Hi,

I have done all steps you mention, and confirm activities through inspection lot, when I attempting to use tcode KO88 to do the cost settlement, system shows msg: "Either the sender is already settled, or there is nothing to settle".

kindly check the fiscal year settings you are using (Tode OMSY) for the month ,if you are using as Apr-mar then this month should be 01 and fiscal year as 2012,ot if you are using Jan-Dec then this month should be 04 ,fiscal year as 2012
