Workflow - WorkItems

Hi!

I have a doubt about what I am trying to get... and I really don't know if it is possible....

I have two different workflows implemented in different R/3 Systems, and I would like to receive the workitems in the same inbox (Business Workplace). Is it possible to trigger the workflow in a R/3 System and receive the workitems in other one?

Thanks in advance.

I think you can try the Business Object REMOTEITEM for this purpose. Possibly to create a workitem on other system.

    Need to explore further.

    Thanks,

To me it seems to be very difficult.

I think in the main system you need to create a method which will encapsulate the RFC call of the original method.

e.g PurchaseOrder.Create will be encapsulated into

PurchaseOrder.CreateRemote and inside this method a RFC FM will be called Z_CREATE_PO with DEST remote system , which in turn calls PurchaseOrder.Create .

Further your remote workflow will have an assistance workflow in main system.

your remote workflow will only trigger events in main system by remote call of FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT.

Further depending on the events triggerd by the remote workflow, assistant workflow in the main system will send WIs to Inbox. Now all these WIs will have a call to remote methods eg PurchaseOrder.CreateRemote

Not sure if I am making any sense !!

    Thanks,

    Ram
