Converting Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order

Former Member

Hello all.

My scenary:

Product X: Where the Purchase Requisition was created.

Product Y: Product where the requirement of product X was created. Here we have 2 PlannedOrders. But the date of these PlnOrd are 03.28.2011(Past mm/dd/yyyy).

The Problem: GATP shows the date of Purchase Order based on Product Y(03.28.2011). Every time we have avaliable stock, SCM accepts dates in past.

How i can solve this? I need SCM never shows past dates.

Thanks and best regards.

Let me try another scenary, more simple:

Product X had 2000kg in Stock. Don't have PlannedOrder or PrdOrder.

This product X have one Purchase Requisition in past(03/03/2012).

I convert this Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order, the date continues at 03/03/2012. Don't change to today.

I don't understand why.

Hi Marcelo,

As far as I understand, the Purchase Order should NOT have got created for a past date if you convert the PR to PO now (even thought the PR is for an old date in the past).

But I am not really an expert about the configuration maintained in R/3 for this.

If you don't get a response from this APO forum, I would suggest that you post a question on ERP- MM forum as this behaviour is happening in R/3, and someone from ERP -MM might be a better person to answer:

Hi Marcelo,

I would assume that for product X, you created a Preq of current date i.e. 2nd April in APO. But you saw that the planned orders for dependent requirement of product Y had a date in the past.

I am no expert in PPDS, but PPDS should not create any receipts (including planned orders) in the past. APO does not plan receipts in the past in any of its module as far as I know.

What SCM version, package level are you on? Seems like some bug. Did you already raise it to SAP through an OSS message?

Thanks - Pawan

Hi Marcelo

I am not sure which planning process you are executing in the process SNP or PPDS. However, it is unlikely that it would result into a Planning Order with date in the past. I would tend to believe that these Planned Orders have ben created by some other planning run in the past or manually created in ECC. Could you please share the following:

1) Please check Table PLAF for the Planned Order - what is the User (PUSER) and TimeStamp (PSTMP)?

2) What is the ATP Category for these Planned Orders

Thanks,

Prasun

Hello Pawan and Prasun.

These orders(ATP Category = AI) was created in past(2011). But some reason, these orders still on SCM.

My question is: If these orders were in past and i ran ATP check today. The SCM should not set the dates to today?

Best Regards.

Marcelo

Hi Marcelo,

I believe the very old planned orders must no longer be relevant, and would also not be existing in R/3 also. (Sorry, I missed the year earlier).

First check in R/3 if these planned orders exist there. If they exist, then you should delete them in R/3 and the deletion should come to APO through CIF.

If these planned orders only exist in APO, then delete them using the transaction /sapapo/RLCDEL.

You could give the category and the dates within which you would like to delete the data.

ATP check doesn't touch the Planned Orders. Only for CTP kind of scenario, you could trigger production, but this isn't relevant for your case.

Thanks - Pawan
