SAP HANA external tool access to database

Hi!

Would appreciate comments on this. Tried to find information related with the question but so far without success.

Basically, a customer wants to have a user with access to the HANA database to be used by an external non-SAP BW product.

The technical part of creating a user is not an issue.

Does this violates the SAP license? Possible or real problems?

Can anyone provide some input on this, please?
