cant access journal for NPN items

Former Member

hi all

i have an urgent issue from one of or clients:

Please see attached mail for screen shots of the problem with the jnls
for NPN.
From this the Goods receipt PO 2834 is captured as NPN item so it pulls
through to WIP warehouse, but the jnl link under the accounting tab is a dead
link under jnl remark, however there has been a jnl processed for the
transaction jnl 24084.

I am trying to find a way to access the jnl number from the GRV
number-if there is a sap report of some sort that has a link between the GRV
number and the corresponding jnl number linked to that GRv number.

I spoke to our someone and he informs me the reason it’s a
dead link is that that jnl is automatically processed through the job costing
module and therefore bypasses SAP so there isn’t a link, but there must be a
way to access this automatic jnl entry through the submodule and link to the
GRV in SAP

PLEASE ADVISE

Thank you

Travelyn

Based on your screenshot, the JE is created through Job costing addon. You may have more JE for each line. Is that true?

Hi Gordon

Yes that is true. A journal was created for each line.

In your case, there is no link from SAP's view. Those JE are manual JE created through add-on. You may create query report to build a manual link.

Hi Gordon

They on SAP8.8..not sure f the pl.

The items are non inventory items.

For non inventory item, there is no JE created for GRPO. Double check the JE to see if you have the right info.

Hi,

Can you check what is the result of the following select query :

Select transid from OPDN where docnum = '2834'

If the transid matches the one you showed here then its a missing link. Otherwise it seems that the JE is independent and not related to the GRPO.

Kind Regards,

Jitin
