valuation type?

Hi all,

when im creating a material using mm01 by chosing account views, it is not asking about valuation type. And if i proceed further 'valuation category' is in display mode i cant add values to it...

could any one suggest on this..

Hi,

Did you activate the "split valuation"? at OMW0

Describe how you maintian your material master.

As it has to be done in 2 steps with MM01.

First without entering a valuation type in the organisation levels, then the valatuion category field is open for an entry.

And after having saved the initial setup of the material, you again execute MM01 and add the acounting view at valuation type level

on my first step valuation category is in display mode.

second time its asking me for valuation typewhen i chose f4, it says Valuation category  does not allow split valuation.

this is what happening here.

Hi,

After you activate the split valaution ctgy, please ensure that you have activated the qty and value updation for the particular material type for your valuation area( Plant) in OMS2 trx.

we faced the same issue as that of you , by activating qty and value updation, the  error got resolved.

Please check the OMS9 the MM01 for "valuation cat" may be changed to display..

again if want to check it in display using mm03, ahen im trying to give val type it says no values?

Hi,

I think you havent extend the material for all the valuation type using MM01 trx.

First maintain the valuation type  for the material in MM01 trx. select the accounting view  and then enter  valuation type by selecting the organizational , in the accounting view you can see the valuation ctgy and maintain the corresponding valuation class.

Then only you can see it in MM03 trx.

Hi Chinta,

               As very well said in the above post, you need to activate Split Valuation in The Configuration.

Please follow the path:

IMG: Material Management: Valuation and Account Determination: Split Valuation

Activate the Split Valuation in the Plant

Then define the Valuation Types.

Then Define Valuation Categories......In the valuation Categories Activate the Valuation Types and also Activate the Valuation Category in your Plant.

Hi Chinta,

Is this about split valuation? Check if split valuation is configured. Also in display mode you cannot enter anything.

bro, split valuation is activated, created category, val type, assigned to category activated and assigned to the plant also...

now in mm01, one thisng is its not asking for val type and in the view val cate is in display mode....

Pre requisite for Split valuation

Activatate the split valuation, create valuation category and valuation type.Assing valuation category to plant and valuation type to valuation category.
