LES scope in MM

Dear LES experts.

I am relatively new to LES and have this basic question.

I have seen LES being used extensively on SD side and even in MM but only for Intercompany  processes to track Shipment and Shipment Cost Document.I would like to understand in what scenarios we advice LES only for MM scenario.Is LES advised (Shipment,Shipment Cost document) in scenarios where we do not have intercompany transactions and have only MM.

To conclude when should we advice LES in MM.

LES is advice in MM  for STO Inter and Intra company and for ASN(advance shipping notification) for Inbound deliveries.

Does it mean LES Logistics Execution.

You can use Intra company stock tranfers also not only Inter company stock tarnsport orders.In MM isde you can use same for inbound delivery shipping process.

Do we  use LES if we want to have say normal procurement for Raw Material and Spares.

Yes ,For normal procurement process where you get ASN from vendor.To process inbound delivery delivery process it is required.
