Side by side installs of SQL 2008 and SQL 2008R2 How to access db on R2

Problem: 2 versions of SQL 2008 installed on same server. Unable to login to SBO database located on SQL 2008 R2 . Can login to dbs located on SQL 2008 standard without issue.

I have SQL2008 Standard SAP Business One installed and working. Recently installed SQL2008 R2 on same server as side by side install in order to restore db backups from SQL2008R2 environment. Restored a db backup to SQL 2008 R2. Can login to SBO but only databases on SQL2008 are available.

SQL R2 installed without issue. I can access it and still can access original SQL 2008.

I've tried changing the license server settings in Configure Security and receive message: Cannot save credentials. The database SBO-Common has not been found in selected database server LENOVO\SQLR2 Would appreciate any help.
