Hello all,
I am begining with a new SAP PI implantation. Right now I have only a SAP PI system for development (over one machine), but in the future I will have a SAP PI system for production (over a different machine).
I have to begin to define my systems on my SLD (development SLD). So my question is, should I consider this SLD environment valid also for production? I mean, can I use as my "production" SLD environment (althought it is over a Development machine).
What do you recomend me?
As far as I know I can only have one SLD system.
Thanks

Hi Antonio,
I recommend you to see first this SLD planning guide http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-14151 , and specially the points "Setting Up a System Landscape Directory." or Planning a Strategy for the System Landscape Directory (SLD) of SAP NetWeaver and here to read carefully "Decide How Many SLDs You Require"

dev and qa can be on a single sld maintained on dev system.
production should have a separate sld maintained on prd system.
production system should not be on dev system's sld.
