Hi everybody,
Its all of a sudden that all the shortcuts to "My Applications" and "My Recently Viewed Documents" on the HOME tab of the BI Launch Pad have disappeared.
Please refer to the screen shot attached.
I initially presumed that it was a problem with Jave Runtime, but apparently there is no change or update with it. Java Runtime 1.6.0_22 runs on my machine. I tried running the BI Launch Pad on other machines with version 1.6.0_19 and 23 too. The behavior is the same.
Environment details:
SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 SP02
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
Would be very grateful for any pointers.
Cheers!
Rahul
Hello folks,
I had registered a case with SAP and worked with the SAP associate to seek a solution to this.
We found that this problem showed up for existing users of the administrators group, including the Administrator user and this was my major concern.
For a new user, however, this problem did not occur and the home page showed up as normally.
The solution we arrived at was that we -
1. Create a New User
2. Add the user to the Administrators group
3. Note the CUID of the Administrator user
4. Login to the CMS database
5. Delete the entry corresponding to the Administrator CUID
6. Login to the CMC with the New User credentials
7. Create the Administrator user afresh
8. Add the Administrator user to the Administrators group.
9. Work with the Administrator user
Hope this helps you all.
Cheers!
Rahul

Hi Henry and Erik,
Thank you for your participation on this.
No pointers on this yet! You are right btw.. this problem is faced by users of the Administrators group only. Non-administrators work smoothly.
There has been no break-through with the SAP call that I have registered as well.
My environment details -
SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.0 + SP2
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
CMS and Audit Database on Oracle 11gR2
Thanks,
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
