I have a very simple unx universe generated out of one sql server table. It works fine on a all-in-one box BO installation, but it fails in a clustered BO installation where I have multiple CMSs in a cluster. Has anyone ran into this issue before? The error message when I try to create a report against the unx is: the dataSource cannot be generated
Hi,
Would be good to know your SP and Patch level . (a similar problem was fixed in Patch2.8 - see note 1595851 - IDT multiple logon screens retrieving universe using clustername )
However, your error is quite generic "dataSource cannot be generated" and may be indicative of the fact that one of your BI 4.0 servers is missing the datasource name (be it 32bit or 64bit administration)
Also, make sure to update the appropriate host and services files on both machines.
Regards,
H
