Combine different column values into one row

Dear,

I am quite new to Business Objects and I am wondering why some things behave differently.

I created a cross table with testing parameters in the columns, and the testing location and dates in the rows. I also attached (two versions) of my current crosstab.

My problem is that if I put the results as "Dimension" in the body of the crosstab, a new row is created for every single result, whether or not the result was received on the same date. However, if I put the results as "Measure" into the body of the crosstab, the results are combined on a single row for a specific date. (You can see the differences in the two pictures I attached).

I would like to have only one row which contains all the results (values) of the different columns. However, I would like to be able to not only use numeric values, but also for example "less-than" signs or "n.a.".

So, the question is, how can I make use of other than numeric values in the body of the cross tab, and at the same time have the rows combined so that the values in the different columns appear on a single row?

Many thanks in advance!
