Generic Extraction from Domain fixed Values

Hi,

Can somone explain me how to perform generic extraction using Domain fixed values option (since fixed domain is a preferable choice for text datasources when compared to function module). I need to create a generic text datasource based on a non-transparent table. I would appreciate, if someone can guide me to some good resource related to Domain fixed generic extraction.
