hi gurus
when i configure for example:
- load of master data
- load of transaccional data
- run consolidation
- run eliminations
all through data manager (bpc layer), i ve read that this executes on background some standar bpc process chain
so my question is do I have to configure something on this bpc process chains direct on BW? or is it kinda transparent for me?
since I just configure at bpc layer (data manager).
regards
jav
Hi Joe,
Data Manager packages reference Planning and Consolidation process chains.
A Planning and Consolidation process chain is an SAP NetWeaver process chain that you can execute in a Planning and Consolidation system or through Data Manager packages only.
It contains a sequence of processes that complete a certain task.
Planning and Consolidation process chains are divided into the groups Example and System, and are delivered with the system. You can create more process chains as needed.
Note: All applications within an application set share Planning and Consolidation process chains.
Planning and Consolidation process chains have one instruction assigned that is the basis for the Data Manager package definition.
For more info refer this link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc75_nw/helpdata/en/bpc_nw_index.htm
Let me know in case of any further queries. Thanks.

Raj

Hi Joe,
Those delivered Process Chains are not meant to be touched. The only think you can do with such Process Chain is activate it in case it's delivered inactive.
If you want to create your own custom Process Chain you can copy one of the delivered and customize it, but those days it's rarely necessary.
