Purchase Order Print Problem

Former Member

Hi All,

When the PO is created, output is not generated & gives red button saying no print relevant changes in the document.(ME 140)

This happens only when the dispatch time is 4 i.e. send immediately.

Output is created with no red button when the dispatch time is 3 i.e.send with application own transaction.

All the condition records & customization of output type are  maintained correctly.

Why does the message output fail with transmission time-spot 4 (for sending immediately)

Checked sap notes , but not getting the answer.

Please respond asap,

Thanking you

Dear Satpal,

This is correct SAP behaviour technically.

When you output change message and with the transmission time-spot 4,this can happen that the change documents do not exist on the database yet. No change message can be generated and thus you receive message ME140.

A change of V2 update modules is not technically possible. The update of the
change documents cannot be set before the update of the message output.

As a possible solution, you have to use other transmission other than 4.

Hope this information will help.

Hi Ian Wong,

Thanks for the reply.

So it is not possible to generate the output automatically if for 2 output types , transmission time-spot is 4 i.e. send immediately in standard SAP?

Is there any possible solution for this.

Please guide.

Thanks again .Waiting for your reply.

regards,

Satpal

Hi,

Select check box for print indicator 1 (New) corresponding to  your Purchase Order output(message) type of  which used to take  print output  automatically OR need to get triggeres as defaulted  in the following path & save.
SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Message > Output control > Message types > Define message type for Purchase Order > Fine-Tuned Control: Purchase Order

Also check your printer assigned to your User ID in SU3 t.code in OutputDevice field in Spool Control segment in Defaults TAB.
