I am sure, you should be aware of the logic in creating sale order for a customer. It is the customer who places an order on the seller and you have to record that.
Having said this, why do you want to reduce the ordered quantity ? What is the process you follow? MRP is an internal process and you should not club this with an external requirement.

Hi,
thank you for the quick response, as per the client requirement, if the user created a sales order for 1000 quantity, by default it was blocked, which the production guy does not run MRP due to of reason for rejection applicable for that particular line items, so we developed one screen to release the sales orders with the line items, here authorized person will release the same, previously they are releasing the ordered quantity which was in sales order, but now they are asking they are willing to release partial sales quantity that is 500 or 200.please suggest how to release partially to MRP, and please correct me if i am wrong.

Hi,
it is a make to order process, and the client requirement was the sales order should be blocked by default, in which sales order should not be displayed to production guy not to run MRP, so as per the requirement, authorized person has to release the quantity of the sales order, so that they will go MRP run.

Thanks,
but the user dont want to create manually multiple line items for the same material code in the sales order. with respect to your question, if the customer ordered 1000 quantity, so the user creates the sales order for 1000 quantity, as per the client requirement, again if the customer calls through the phone and said he want 800 quantity enough to deliver, then 800 qty should be moved to MRP.
