Hi,
I have a scenario such that my cube is getting data from ods in delta mode. Due to some reasons, the delta failed in the cube,as it happens some times due to battling out for jobs and dialog processes. What should be the steps taken to reload the data from ods.
I am trying to reload from ods , i am getting a message that no new deltas were there to upload.
any suggestions will be awarded and send me the link to award the points.
thanks,
charan
Hi Charan,
in this situation it's enough to put your request in red and to reload it from your ODS...the system says that there is no new delta, ok, continue and say yes if system asks if you want to reload the same delta again !
Hope it helps!
Bye,
Roberto

Hi Sri Krishna,
When the request failed in the Cube, correct the problem in PSA or source system connection. Then schedule the package from ODS to Cybe, then it will ask u for the repeat request. Then press ok..and procees.
Suppose if u have already deleted the failed request from Cube, Then you may need to re-initialize the delta.
Thanks and Regards,
Ramesh.
Hi:
There are some specific steps to be done in order to delete and reload a delta from ODS to Cube.
First of all, when you delete a request from the cube, the ODS to Cube delta control mechanism does not know about that deletion.
In other word, by accessing the Data Mart Status of the Request on the ODS managing screen, you can see the green flag telling All connected data targets have picked up this request.
Then, in order to reload such request from ODS to Cube you have to erase this flag.
To do so, you click on the flag, that opens the screen Request in Connected Data Targets. By clicking the trash Reset Delta Management you delete such delta load. There are a few confirmation after that clicking.
After returning to the ODS management, as you refresh the screen, you can see that the green flag has been deleted for that specific request.
In this situation you are able to Update ODS Data in Data Target. After that, the green flag will return for that request.
You have also to pay attention that the request have to be delete/reload on the same original delta sequence. What I mean is, if you decide to delete/reload a delta uploaded 2 delta before the last one, you have to delete all request up to the end. You cannot delete request in between.
Best Regards
Speedy
