RSBATCHDATA clean up

Hi Experts:

Our RSBATCHDATA table in BW system is growing out of control. Before we perform the clean up as recommended by the SAP OSS Note, I would like to know what the impacts are for cleaning up this table. Will the logs for our batch process get deleted? How does it affect BW?

Thanks,

JH

    Hi,

It is just that you will no longer will be able to see the logs older than the date you mention while you execute the report.

SAP recommends for deleting messages and parameters that are older than 30 days.

    The parameters define the criteria.

DEL_MSG 3 - delete all records older than nnn day (M-Records)

DEL_PAR 3 - delete all records older than nnn day (R- and P-Records)

    DEL_DTP X - useless/no function
