Extracting data from planning area into BW infocube

Hi  Friends,

While extracting the data from APO planning area into APO BW infocube for backup purpose, it is taking long time.

Can anybody tell me what is the effective way of extracting data from APO  planning area into APO BW cube.

1)In datasource definition /sapapo/sdp_extr -> Change Datasource, hide those characteristics and key figures that you do not need to backup.
2)Set the back up period as short as possible.
3)Deactivate fixed aggregates if you have any.
4)In datasource definition /sapapo/sdp_extr -> Datasource Properties, check 'No extraction of data records without key figure value'. You can also set parallel processing profile here.

Hi Sir,

I have done above settings  while extracting the data from DP PA into BW infocube.

Still the process is taking long time.

9Adatasource contains thousands of records but while running infopackage it is showing lakhs of records.

Could you tell me the reason and solution for that....

Not sure with your SP level, but please make sure you have note 1497062 and prerequisite note 1497062 applied.
