SAP POSDM integration without using PI/XI

Hi  All

We are planning to use POSDM . however currently we dont have any PI/XI system to integrate between our pos system to SAP BW system.

I would like to know is there any possiblity to use POSDM without using PI/XI  did anyone got a chance to work in this kind senario. Please do share your thaughts and  experiences.

It's definitely possible. You can call the IDOC/BAPI/RFC in the PIPE from an custom ABAP program which reads a file for example. Alternatively you can use tools like Live Interface from Intellicorp, or open source ESB (Mule, Fuse) which will do similar operations. Both times I've done POSDM have not used PI.
