Failure to import development configuration

Former Member

I am following tutorial 2+. When importing the development configuration, I am getting the following error. I noticed that some have fixed this by restarting NWDS. I have rebooted the systems several times and cannot resolve this error. Please provide some insight. I will reward points.

Import configuration failed:Could not create mountpoint for SC in compartment aei.com_APPLICATION_1: Could not create remote path /dtr/ws/APPL/aei.com_APPLICATION/dev/inactive/SCs/aei.com/APPLICATION/_comp/TopLevelDCs/ (Conflict [(pre||post)-condition failed: x:name-conflict]).

HI Stephen,

you can try following

Before Importing the Configuration file just delete the dir .dtr & .dtc folders in your home directory but make sure that you have backup copy of these folder as it contains the

your local development project.

Kris/Divyakumar,

I haven't seen this problem before but you can try the following things.

1. Check whether track is created/saved and Restore System state button is also clicked.

2. Remove the configuration before doing step 1 and try re-importing the configuration after step 1.

3. If this doesn't work, try to see if you login to Dtr perspective and see the workspaces. Try to do the same by logging in to DTR Web UI too.

For me it seems to me a DTR problem.

Let me know if it works,

Kiran

Hi Kiran,

Thanks for the reply.

Your suggestion did not work but I do agree with you that it is most likely a DTR problem. It can not create the path requried in the DTR. I have now installed the DTR Admin plugin so that I should be able to create folders in the DTR, however this is not possible. It does not come up with an error but no folder is created... Further more I can not create permissions for any DTR folders.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks and the best regards

Thanks for the input. I am importing the local file and get this error.

Import configuration failed:Could not create mountpoint for SC in compartment aei.com_TESTDOCLOOKUP: No workspace existing for remote path "ws/WDAPPS/aei.com_WDAPPS/dev/SCs/aei.com/TESTDOCLOOKUP/_comp/TopLevelDCs/".

How do I create the this mountpoint or what is it expecting?

Hi Stephen,

Heave you configured Domain and Trac before that do you have a software component.

I hope if you follow the steps given in the following links, there will not be any problem while importing Dovelopement configuration in NWDS.
