Settings after NW 7.3 JAVA

Have you done one of these upgrades?  I have but it appears that I am having some issues with SAPJVM_6.  I haven't been able to bring up JSPM and configtool up yet.  Anyone encountered this issue?  Also, can you please tell me the settings for DIR_LIBRARY, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, JAVA_HOME, etc.

Hi Hemanth, I am unable to launch JSPM or configtool.  In addition, upon checking I don't find the instance.properties.vmprop file as per the note. Any further suggestion why it is not generating the file plus any ideas about the tools.  I think they are all related to the JVM.

Thank you and awiting anyone's reply.

Dear  Philip,

Not Active ContributorHope you are doing good.

Did you check the sap note 718901 and point the JAVA_HOME to the latest JVM?

What is the error when you are trying to open the tools? Do check in the JSPMlogs and the default traces..

Thank you and have a nice day :).

The configtool looks much different in 7.3.  Does anyone know of any user manual or documentation available, specifically for adding a server node?

The problem is I am unable to launch JSPM to apply updates.  The ports 5xx17, 18, and 19 are free.

Have you tried running the go.bat file "as administrator"?

Dear  Philip,

After the JVM upgrade, please amend the instance profile so that it points to the new VM as per sap note 718901. Then it's important to delete the instance.properties.vmprop file in the /usr/sap/ <SID>/<instance> /j2ee/cluster directory and restart the server. Now the JSPM and the other applications will use the latest JVM as the instance profile will take precedence over the other files.

Else, if you are using the JVM switch tool, please check note 1665953- SAP JVM Switch Tool Composite Note.

Thank you and have a nice day :).
