SAP BO Analysis (for Office and OLAP) -> non-SAP DWH

Hi experts

1. question: In respect of this SAP document "SAP BusinessObjects BI Solution Architecture" SAP BO Analysis, Edition for Microsoft Office and for OLAP are not applicable to custom-datawarehouses (non-SAP). The dark (black) arrow through direct access (BICS) finally ends at transient providers and not into the DWH (pg. 12).

Can anyone confirm this, or better contradict this interpretation?

2. question: Does SAP BO Analysis accept input fields for comments? BEx Analyzer is not able to do so. Would be interesting to know if BO solved this problem with Analysis.

Any thoughts?
