How to migrate SAP BPC 7.5 for Netweaver (.NET Component)

Hi Experts,

I have a SAP BPC 7.5 for Netweaver installed on Windows 2003 Server (only .NET component) , we are going to migrate this installation to another server with the same technical features and in another network.

I wonder if only I have to install again SAP BPC 7.5 for Netweaver (.NET) or I have to do something else.

Or is there a guide to do this kind of system copy? I haven't found any.

Hi Andrea,

If you are just migrating the .NET server I believe you would only have to make a backup of the server logs and some configuration files for your reference (i.e.: web.config).

If there are any documentation on migration on the SCN I believe it would be referring to migrating from one version to another, from 7.0 to 7.5 for instance.

Ok, so will it be a new installation?, because we are going to change the server (.NET) and BI is in another server.

Yes, this is a new instalation.
I recommend following the lastest BPC NW 7.5 install guide, in the .Net server session.

Just remember to back up the old system to have all the references.
