I would like to cancel a delivery for which the picking is done via WM-transfer order.
=> System-message (via log): "Return storage for delivery is not possible when IM is active" (Message no. L1618)
Could you please tell me what is the reason for this message? Why can the transfer order not beeing cancelled via LT0G?

It is not required to use LT0G transaction after VL09 transaction.Directly you can delete the delivery.Before PGI if you want to cancel confirmed TO then you have to use LT0G transaction.

As a standard flow, if Delivery completely picked but goods issue not posted then one can reverse the picking with Tcode LT0G. If delivery is picked and goods issue also posted, then user needs to reverse the PGI first thru' Tcode VL09. This will bring delivery to the status...picked and not PGI. User needs to reverse the picking thru' Tcode LT0G. This will make delivery cleared from any link to WM and IM. Now you can delete the delivery if would like to.
